Afcona 5010 is a translucent to slightly yellowish liquid with a 25°C flash point. It is essentially an acidic polyester phosphorous compound that aids in moistening and dispersing extenders and inorganic pigments, particularly TiO2.

AFCONA-4570 needs to be protected from freezing and kept in a cold, dry environment. It will remain fresh for up to three years after the date of production when maintained in the original, unopened container. On the container, the expiration date is written.
