As a stabilizer, our reagent-grade Chloroform (trichloromethane) contains a trace amount of ethanol. It is an odourless liquid with a mildly sweet flavour and an ether-like odour. Nonflammable.

Common solvents for alkaloids, lipids, oils, waxes, and resins include chloroform. Miscible with the majority of organic liquids. It is used to create coolants and to bond acrylic parts. Also used in the wildlife control industry to prevent skunks from spraying when they are handled.
